Medical Definition of EXTERNAL PUDENDAL ARTERY
: either of two branches of the femoral artery: a : one that is distributed to the skin of the lower abdomen, to the penis and scrotum in the male, and to one of the labia majora in the female, and that anastomoses with the internal pudendal artery—called also superficial external pudendal artery b : one that follows a deeper course, that is distributed to the medial aspect of the thigh, to the skin of the scrotum and perineum in the male, and to one of the labia majora in the female, and that anastomoses with branches of the perineal artery—called also deep external pudendal artery
